Peaceful Acres’ offers women the ability to celebrate life, find clarity in their life journey, de-stress, sustain life’s changes, heal from trauma and loss, learn creative expression and build on their strengths.


Do you want to: Leave stress behind, heal personal wounds, and cultivate forgiveness, love, courage, generosity, compassion and tolerance for yourself and others? Find peace – a sanctuary from life’s daily demands, learn what drives you, what motivates you, what brings a centered balance to your life, what completes you and fills you spiritually. You can break down personal and professional barriers that hold you back. You can recognize your physical, emotional, spiritual and mental strengths.

Equine Assisted Retreats – This retreat is offered using our Equine Assisted Experiential Learning activities and Spiritual Guidance Through The Way Of Horses for self reflection (EPONA reflective and relationship work), emotional growth and spiritual connection. The partnership with the horses helps in accessing self reflection and awareness of your emotional, physical, mental and spiritual self. You will work with a coach for a portion of your time at the farm, you will then be given time to have self reflection, meditation and revitalization. You will have some direct contact with the horses for a period of time; the balance of your time is spent in self discovery as you observe the horses and interact with them kinetically. Take a reflective journey with the horses. Equine Assisted Retreat Rates: ½ day: 9:00-11:30 – $180.00. Full Day: 9:00-2:00 – $300.00 (with time spent in the sanctuary). 2-4 day retreats are also available  and serve a group size of 6-8 women. Overnight accommodations in the retreat house may be made available upon retreat reservation.

Day Retreats: A Day retreat offers a woman a chance to find Peace, become centered and find clarity and balance. You will become grounded in Nature, Reconnected to the wonder of yourself and revitalized. This is a chance to have self reflection, discovery and time spent in the quiet of nature. Our Sanctuary is the perfect place to read a book – listen to soft music and have peace and solitude. This Adirondack decorated sanctuary offers a quiet place to look out over the farm and the animals. ½ Day Rates 9:00-12:00 - $120.00 or you may choose a full day full day from 9:00-2:00 – bring a lunch - $220.00 This is an independent day – you set your pace and spend time observing the animals, taking a reflective journey with the horses – no riding is offered for this retreat. (An Equine Assisted Retreat is a prerequisite).

Group Rates: The Retreat House and Sanctuary are available to small groups who wish to host their own workshop. 1/2 Day 9:00 -12:00  $150.00. Full Day: 9:00 - 3:00 $300.00. Maximum of 8 people. Call the office for details and reservations 518-887-3178 

Weddings and Special Events: Small weddings and special events may be held at The High Point with use of the Retreat House, Pavilion and Sanctuary. This is a beautiful location for a special day. Call for rates and reservations. Open April - October. ~ by reserving your special day with us at Peaceful Acres you will be helping to support the feed and care of the rescued horses. All fees associated with Special Events go to the "feed the horses fund".

 

As a Center for Emotional Growth and Wellness; Peaceful Acres offers Equine Assisted Learning, Horseback Riding, Reiki, Yoga, Massage and Meditation. Retreats provide women the opportunity to find “peace” within nature in a tranquil, healing environment just 30 minutes from New York State’s Capital.  The Center offers women the ability to de-stress, celebrate life, sustain life’s changes, heal from trauma and loss, learn creative expression and build on their strengths. Staffed by certified clinicians, coaches and professionals empowered for the mission of improved quality of life for women.
