15th Annual Prayer Vigil for the Earth: 

Friday, October 19th (set up)

Saturday October 20th (start at Sunrise)

Sunday October 21st (continuous till 1 PM)

Location:  NW Quadrant of the Washington Monument grounds (corner of 17th St. & Constitution Ave) in Washington DC

The Prayer Vigil for the Earth, an annual event now in its 15th year, is a gathering of people from multiple backgrounds, traditions and faiths from around the world. The Vigil is a common ground where people experience different cultures and spiritual traditions, see first-hand what peace looks like, pray for world peace, harmony with nature, and the well being of all creation.

It begins with the lighting of a sacred fire at sunrise on Sat, Oct 20 with activities -- prayer, song, dance and ritual -- by many world faith traditions through Sunday Oct. 21 at 1 pm.

Everyone is welcome! Come any time throughout the Vigil! You'll find us at the Washington Monument Grounds (NW Quadrant), in DC, at the intersection of Constitution Ave and 17th St. (across 17th St from the World War II Memorial).
